Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. Her name can also be stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, it received a raving review from bloggers and music critics as well as the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are two of her most well-known recordings. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway by her, has given her the track a little more attention. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding a piano hidden in her attic and being captivated by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to play music only to have fun or as a means of development but instead, she must take it seriously. They advised her to compose. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music in front of the public, but not to gain fame but rather to help others realize how important they are and what they can do for the world. Piano was her first instrument, at six, and she started making music at the age of nine. Her family didn't be aware of this until she reached the age of 14. Aurora's accomplishments were never the goal of her. According to her, she just loves writing music. For her music, it is the best way to express anything.
