Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged as the pioneer of modern research of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman published widely and has won several grants and was awarded numerous international and national awards. She consults with numerous nations and organizations around the world regarding policies as well as the study of child abuse in the justice system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
